init-system-helpers software package provides helper tools for all init systems, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install init-system-helpers
init-system-helpers is installed in your system.
Make ensure the init-system-helpers package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep init-system-helpers *
You will get with init-system-helpers package name, version, architecture and description in a table
